Responsibility to the society and communities is deeply ingrained into our corporate culture; we believe strongly in giving something back to the societies in which we operate.
FOR THE SOCIETY
We are committed to our corporate social responsibilities, and are constantly exploring new ways to improve the wellbeing of people and local communities – we organize health lectures, disease prevention programs, and other educational activities.
We have funded many scholarships across Europe, China, and the United States. Where 614 students so far have received support through this scholarship programs.
In China, we have established medical clinics in ethnic minority areas, participate actively in poverty alleviation projects and established two MicroPort® Hope Primary Schools in remote regions. We have also arranged special trips for students in remote regions for them to “Get out of the mountains and explore the world”.
In the United States and Europe, we continuously encourage employees to participate in local community service activities such as Joint Health, Thanksgiving Day, Community Care and other charitable projects. We also provide long-term assistance to families with seriously ill children and food donations for the most needed.
We believe in the importance of active volunteer service. Between 2018 and 2019 the volunteer service team took part in more than 1,000 volunteer activities, with over 4,000 hours of volunteer work. In addition, the company organizes annual blood donations.
We have also established a number of charitable projects and has granted donations to charitable organizations such as the Arthritis Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and the Anti-Abuse Center and established medical clinics in remote areas of the Heilongjiang border and donated medical equipment, treatments and first-aid supplies, to local people in Tibet and Xinjiang.
FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Our Safety Operations and Responsibility Committee has established an environment, health and safety management system within the organization leading our efforts in to protect the environment. By implementing environmental protection measures, cleaner production projects that improve resource and energy efficiency we aim to reduce environmental impact.
We give great importance to environmental protection and constantly develop and revise our environmental regulations, advocating for conservation-oriented construction projects, implementing measures and systems for energy conservation, material conservation and waste sorting.
Engage in employee training on low-carbon living standards, garbage sorting and various environmental tips. We provide a smoke free environment through our offices.
LOW CARBON ENERGY SAVING
As part of our growth and expansion, we have implemented a number of construction projects incorporating systems aiming to reduce our carbon footprint. We also constantly implement office energy-saving measures and activities encouraging our employees and partners to promote environmental protection.
We invest in green technologies to reduce carbon emissions through efficient use of resources and equipment.
