MicroPort® Medical Robotics Symposium of the Medical Engineering Committee under Shanghai Association of Integrative Medicine Took Place Successfully

Shanghai, China – The MicroPort® Medical Robotics Symposium of the Medical Engineering Committee under Shanghai Association of Integrative Medicine (the "Committee") was successfully held at the headquarters of Shanghai MicroPort Medical (Group) Co., Ltd. ("MicroPort®") on April 3. Mr. Jian Zhang, who is president of the Committee, led the experts from Shanghai Shenkang Hospital Development Center, Shanghai Government Procurement Center and the equipment management departments of several top-tier hospitals in Shanghai to attend the symposium. The MicroPort® management including Chief Operation Officer Ms. Glendy Wang, Market Access Center Director Ms. Yi Chang and MicroPort MedBot (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. ("MicroPort® MedBot") General Manager Dr. Chao He also took part in the symposium.

At the beginning of the symposium, Ms. Glendy Wang and Dr. Chao He gave overviews about MicroPort® and MicroPort® MedBot in their respective addresses. Then Dr. Chao He and the R&D staff from MicroPort® MedBot presented the development of the medical robotics industry and progress of the company's projects. During the following Q&A session, the attending experts had a heated discussion on the clinical application of medical robotics and other related topics. They highly recognized the technological performance and clinical application prospect of the MicroPort® MedBot products represented by endoscopic surgical robotics and were positive towards deeper cooperation with MicroPort® in the future.

The Shanghai Association of Integrative Medicine was founded in September 1981 in the main business areas of hosting scientific exchanges on the integration of Chinese traditional and Western medicines, organizing activities such as discussions and reasoning on scientific topics and scientific investigations, and enhancing horizontal contacts and cooperation between different disciplines and academic communities. The Committee was officially established on December 3, 2017 and is committed to following the purposes of service, openness, inclusiveness and innovation to generate new developments for the cause of medical engineering. In the future, MicroPort® and MicroPort® MedBot will have further exchanges and cooperation with the Committee to promote comprehensive communication among the industry, universities, institutions and medical community to jointly drive the continuous development of China's medical robotics industry.
