Mr. Badhri Iyengar serves as the Interim President of MicroPort Orthopedics and is a member of the InterContinental Orthopedics Committee (IOC).
Prior to this role, Mr. Iyengar was Vice President of Asia Pacific, Overseas Business Division (OBD) for MicroPort Scientific Corporation, where he led a significant turnaround for the Asia Pacific region, achieving record profitability and driving a cultural transformation.
Before joining MicroPort®, Mr. Iyengar held several senior leadership roles in the medical device industry, including Regional Director for Asia Pacific at Convatec and Managing Director for South Asia and Southeast Asia at Smith & Nephew. He also spent time with Boston Scientific as Area Director for the Middle East and Turkey, and he began his career at Johnson & Johnson, where he held positions of increasing responsibility over a 15-year period, culminating in his role as Portfolio Director for Cardiovascular Care and a member of the J&J Medical India Management Board.
Mr. Iyengar is a Postgraduate Biomedical Engineer, holds an MBA from the University of Mumbai, and has a specialization in Digital Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management. His extensive leadership experience spans commercial strategy, sales execution, and regional management in the medical device industry.
