Professional Training
Owned by MicroPort®, MicroPort® Knowledge & Action Medical Training Institute is a professional training center for clinical medicine and professional education. Its name originates from the Ming Dynasty philosopher Wang Yangming's 'Unity of Knowledge and Action', a philosophy of mind. 'Knowledge' indicates the scientific knowledge while 'Action' refers to people's practice. The unity of knowledge and action represents the combination MicroPort®'s high-tech products with doctors' actions, and through academic promotion, the developed products are safely applied to the clinic. Located in Shanghai, MicroPort Knowledge and Action Institute was completed in November 2015, equipped with high-tech facilities and equipment, such as Cicada Lecture Hall, Tele-Medicine Global Center, 3D Experience Center, Intervention Simulation Training Classroom, Orthopedics Training Classroom, DSA Simulation Operating Room, zSpace, 3D printing.
Cicada Lecture Hall
The main function of the hall is to relay industry conferences, annual meetings and remote surgery, and to conduct internal training and executive lectures. Each table has been equipped with advanced audio and video recording equipment, which can switch intelligently according to different usage functions.
Intervention Simulation Training Classroom
Equipped with 8 training tables with each table connecting to audio and video, this classroom has a capacity of up to 32 people and has the ability to conduct group training. The room can also be divided into two separate classrooms, each of which is equipped with 4 training tables to cater for different class sizes.
Orthopedics Training Classroom
Equipped with audio and video equipment, a HD projection system and 7 stainless steel artificial bone operating desks, this classroom can cater for up to 30 people. Each of the operating tables is equipped with a ceiling-mounted camera that can transmit the filming of each operating table to the projection screen in real time for the students to communicate and learn.
3D Experience Center
The 3D Experience Center is equipped with a 3D printer, a zSpace 3D teaching device and holographic equipment. ZSpace is one of the most advanced 3D interactive devices of today. Visitors can wear 3D glasses and view 3D anatomical images of the human body. The holographic equipment utilizes virtual reality technology to provide the visitors with vivid 3D images without having to wear 3D glasses.
DSA Simulation Operation Room
The Operation Room is used for simulating coronary and nerve intervention surgery. The room is equipped with a hydraulic surgical bed and C-arm machine. Linked to the intervention operation simulator, it can vividly simulate the work being carried out in the Intervention Operation Room. The external computer can be used to broadcast in real time the operating room procedure and can synchronize online feedback during the operation. Specially designed, the ball tube does not generate radiation, enabling a safe training experience.
VR Cath Lab
Combining the space positioning device and virtual reality imaging technology, this room not only gives the impression of the real environment and facilities of a catheter room, but also simulates every step of interventional surgery, allowing the user to participate in it through interactive links. It is widely used in internal and external basic intervention training. Through experiencing the VR environment, doctors and internal staff from MicroPort® who have not participated in interventional surgery, can operate in the virtual environment and form an intuitive sense of interventional surgery, so that they can better participate in the operation.
