Endovastec™ Post-marketing Clinical Study of Minos® Abdominal Aortic Stent-Graft and Delivery System Noted in Shanghai

Shanghai, China – On September 27, 2019, the Post-marketing Clinical Study of Minos® Abdominal Aortic Stent-Graft and Delivery System, which is jointly submitted by Shanghai MicroPort Endovascular MedTech Co., Ltd. ("Endovastec™"), Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University and Renji Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was designated as Project in the Field of Cooperation between Companies, Universities, Institutes and Hospitals under 2019 Shanghai Municipal Action Plan for Scientific and Technological Innovation, under the category of Research on Clinical Demonstration and Application of Innovative Medical Devices.

The Projects in the Field of Cooperation between Companies, Universities, Institutes and Hospitals under 2019 Shanghai Municipal Action Plan for Scientific and Technological Innovation have been set up by Shanghai Science and Technology Committee in accordance with Shanghai Municipality 13th Five-year Plan for Scientific and Technological Innovation. The projects aim to propel the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy and expedite the building of a center for scientific and technological innovation with global impacts. The Research on Clinical Demonstration and Application of Innovative Medical Devices is one of the categories of the projects. Its research objectives include the completion of the post-marketing clinical study on clinical demonstration and application, as well as reassessment, of innovative medical devices. The other objective is to formulate plans to optimize products.

Minos® Abdominal Aortic Stent-Graft and Delivery System, which is self-developed by Endovastec™, received the registration certificate from National Medical Products Administration of China (NMPA) in March 2019 and the CE Mark on September 12, 2019. Minos® Stent Graft provides a better solution for the patients diagnosed with the abdominal aortic aneurysm with complex anatomies and especially benefit those with access artery stenosis and tortuosity. After having been designated as one of the municipal projects, the Post-marketing Clinical Study of Minos® Abdominal Aortic Stent-Graft and Delivery System will complete the analysis and statistics of the follow-up data generated by the ultra-low profile device and produce a clinical follow-up report. The project is expected to provide comprehensive and detailed data in accordance with evidence-based medicine for the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm with the device.
