Medical Device Committee of Shanghai Pudong Bio Industry Association Established

On June 16th, 2011, the inaugural ceremony of Medical Device Committee of Shanghai Pudong Bio Industry Association, co-sponsored by MicroPort, was held at the MicroPort headquarters with more than 20 representatives from the Pudong New Area Science and Technology Commission, the Pudong New Area Science and Technology Association, the Pudong Bio Industry Association, Changhai Hospital, and MicroPort in attendance. The committee members were announced during the ceremony, and Dr. Daozhi Liu, MicroPort Senior VP of R&D and President of MicroPort Orthopedics was elected Chairman of the Committee. Ms. Yan Zhang, President and Compliance Officer of MicroPort, addressed the meeting on behalf of the company. Afterward, the invited representatives from government agencies, medical institutions, venture capital firms and medical device companies had in-depth exchanges on the development prospects of the domestic and international medical device industry.
