MicroPort CardioFlow Announces First Series of AnchorMan™ LAAC System Implantations in Italy

Clamart, France - May 27, 2026 — MicroPort CardioFlow announced the successful first series of implantations of the AnchorMan™ Left Atrial Appendage Closure System ("LAAC") in Italy. The procedures were performed by Dr. Marco Contarini and his team at Ospedale Umberto I in Siracusa, Sicily, Italy.

The procedures were completed successfully on the first deployment, with no residual leak observed. These first implantations of the AnchorMan™ LAAC System in Italy mark an important step in the continued European adoption of the technology following CE mark approval received in 2025.

The AnchorMan™ LAAC System is a next-generation left atrial appendage closure device designed to combine effective sealing, stable anchoring, and procedural flexibility. Its unique semi-closed design integrates key advantages of traditional LAAC technologies, while its soft distal end and conformable nitinol frame are intended to support secure and reliable closure. The system also offers multiple deployment options to facilitate physician use during procedures.

"We are very pleased to see the successful first use of AnchorMan™ in Italy," said Hugues Gervais, Chief Commercial Officer at MicroPort CardioFlow. "These initial procedures demonstrate the potential of the AnchorMan™ LAAC System to combine procedural simplicity, stable anchoring, and effective sealing performance. We look forward with great interest to the clinical follow-up and long-term evaluation of this innovative technology."

The continued expansion of the AnchorMan™ LAAC System across Europe reinforces MicroPort CardioFlow's commitment to advancing stroke prevention solutions for patients with atrial fibrillation.
