Clamart, France — July 23, 2026 — MicroPort CardioFlow today announced the successful first implantations of the VitaFlow Liberty™ Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (“TAVI”) in Germany. This milestone marks a significant step in the company's European expansion and reflects the growing adoption of VitaFlow Liberty™ across key TAVI markets in Europe.
The introduction of VitaFlow Liberty™ in Germany builds on the company's growing presence across Europe following successful commercial launches and first implantations in Poland, Denmark, Romania, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal and most recently in the Czech Republic. Together, these milestones demonstrate increasing physician confidence in the VitaFlow Liberty™ system and reinforce MicroPort CardioFlow's commitment to expanding access to innovative TAVI therapies throughout Europe.
As one of Europe's largest and most mature TAVI markets1, Germany represents an important milestone for the company's regional growth strategy. The first implantations pave the way for broader access to the VitaFlow Liberty™ system for patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis while supporting physicians with an innovative transcatheter heart valve solution.
The procedures were successfully performed by Dr. Fernando Gatto and his team at SHG-Kliniken Völklingen. Dr. Gatto highlighted “the ease of use and excellent performance of the VitaFlow Liberty™ system, noting that all procedures were completed smoothly.”
"We are pleased to be the first center in Germany to implant the VitaFlow Liberty™ system," said Dr. Gatto. "The procedures were completed successfully, and we look forward to further evaluating the technology as we continue to provide advanced treatment options for patients with severe aortic stenosis."
The VitaFlow Liberty™ TAVI System is a next-generation transcatheter aortic valve replacement solution for the minimally invasive treatment of severe symptomatic aortic stenosis. Engineered to support precise valve placement, it helps physicians deliver effective treatment while expanding access to minimally invasive care for patients. Its delivery system features the world's first motorized retrievable TAVI platform, designed to support accurate valve positioning and provide physicians with greater control throughout the deployment procedure.
"The first implantations of VitaFlow Liberty™ in Germany represent an important milestone in our European growth journey," said Hugues Gervais, Chief Commercial Officer of MicroPort CardioFlow. "Germany is one of the world's leading TAVI markets, and this achievement reflects the growing confidence physicians have in the VitaFlow Liberty™ system. We sincerely thank Dr. Gatto and the entire clinical team for their trust and partnership in bringing this technology to patients in Germany."
This latest milestone further strengthens MicroPort CardioFlow's presence across Southern, Central, and Western Europe. As commercial adoption of VitaFlow Liberty™ continues to grow, the company remains committed to collaborating with physicians and healthcare institutions to expand access to minimally invasive structural heart therapies for patients in Europe.
