Clamart, France, 07 February 2025 – MicroPort® CRM, Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ), and Purple MicroPort® have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to drive the expansion of MicroPort® CRM’s pacemaker business in India and its neighboring countries. This strategic partnership aims to address the growing need for advanced Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) devices in the rapidly expanding cardiovascular markets of India and the surrounding regions.
Under the agreement, AMTZ will facilitate the assembly of MicroPort® CRM pacemaker systems exclusively for the Indian and neighbouring state markets at its state-of-the-art facilities on the AMTZ campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Purple MicroPort® will manage the manufacturing and distribution of these systems, ensuring localized solutions tailored for the Indian market.
India's CRM market remains underpenetrated and valued at around $115 million and is expanding at a rate of approximately 15% annually, with projections to double in size within the next five years.
