MicroPort® Listed as Enterprises Conforming to CSR Standards for Six Consecutive Years
Shanghai, China – On May 10, the district government of Shanghai Pudong New Area held an awarding ceremony to honor local enterprises that reach the local standards of corporate social responsibility ("CSR") for the year 2015 to 2016. Shanghai MicroPort Medical (Group) Co., Ltd ("MicroPort®") was listed as "enterprises conforming to CSR standards" for the six consecutive years.
During the ceremony, the representatives of the awarding enterprises respectively shared their own achievements in CSR. Afterwards, the head of Pudong New Area CSR Office introduced the new development trend of CSR and analyzed the differences between national and local standards. He also encouraged these enterprises to act as role models and continue to increase their input in CSR.
Since establishment, MicroPort® is enthusiastic about improving the wellbeing of people and communities. In 2007 and 2012, MicroPort® established two MicroPort® Hope Schools in remote areas in Shandong Province and Guizhou Province and also arranged special trips for the Hope School students to visit metropolis. MicroPort® also set up the MicroPort® Aspiration & Encouragement Scholarship Fund for the College of Medical Instrument at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and has given special fund to Zhangjiang Institute of Innovation, the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In addition, the company launched community activities programs and actively participated in the activities organized by Shanghai Volunteer Association and Shanghai Charity Foundation. The title of "enterprises conforming to CSR standards" fully signifies the recognition of government authority in MicroPort®’s corporate citizenship. In the future, MicroPort® will continue that legacy of charity and generosity benefiting the society and communities with our business philosophy grounded in concepts of contributing towards social harmony.
