Mannheim, Germany – The 85th edition of the Annual Meeting of the German Society of Cardiology (DGK), which is the biggest national congress in cardiology in Europe and boasts a long history and grand reputation within its sector, was held recently in Mannheim, Germany. Focused on cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment technologies for cardiac diseases, the DGK brought together many KOLs in this field to discuss innovation in cardiac interventional medical devices and the relevant procedures and provided a platform of scientific exchanges for global physicians. The DGK attracted more than 8,900 cardiologists and physicians. The products of MicroPort® EP and MicroPort® CRM were jointly presented for the first time at the DGK.

As a Chinese company that is able to provide complete 3D Navigation equipment and catheter solutions in the field of arrhythmia radiofrequency ablation, MicroPort® presented the products and attracted the attention of healthcare professionals and researchers, who had at the MicroPort® booth a hands-on experience with Columbus® and tried the FireMagic™ 3D Irrigated Ablation Catheter that goes with Columbus®. Columbus® is China’s first independently developed 3D EP navigation system featuring real time magnetic device tracking with cardiac motion compensation, as well as the only Chinese made system with CE mark in this field. Its image quality and user interface design were well received by the healthcare professionals in attendance.
Currently, Columbus® has successfully entered French hospitals and will soon hold its first in-clinic demonstration at German hospitals, with the British, Italian and Portuguese markets to follow. The joint attendance of MicroPort® EP and MicroPort® CRM at the DGK marked another combined market campaign in Europe in the wake of the International Symposium on Catheter Ablation Techniques (ISCAT) held in October 2018 in Paris, France. Drawing on MicroPort® CRM’s solid brand foundation in the European market, MicroPort® EP deepened the understandings of German, European and even global healthcare professionals about the stable performance and brand advantage of its products at DGK. MicroPort® EP further expanded market opportunities for its European business.
