Shanghai MicroPort EP MedTech Completed the First Multi-electrode Ablation Case in the Clinical Trial of FlashPoint™ Renal Artery RF Ablation System
On 27 December 2013, Shanghai MicroPort EP MedTech Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of MicroPort Group, completed the first multi-electrode ablation case in the clinical trial of FlashPoint™ Renal Artery RF Ablation System. The case was performed in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. The procedure was performed by the Professor Yuehui Yin from the Department of Cardiology in the hospital.
In recent years, percutaneous renal artery catheter RF ablation has received a lot of attention in the industry. The clinical trial is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of FlashPoint™ renal artery catheter RF ablation system for the treatment of resistant hypertension.
